Dash Restoration
for the Porsche 928

Please follow this link for the current price
Price includes a new leather cover installed on your dash and a new leather cover for the glove box lid.

All of our parts are made of top quality hides imported from Europe.
I can match most Porsche factory colors.

Other hides imported from Italy are also available for those who are looking for something different.

Dashes that came from the factory with leather covers, also came from the factory with plastic trims around the vents.

If your car came from the factory with a vinyl dash, you do not have those trims.

Although the plastic trims can still be found, I have my own way of dealing with this problem.

The following pictures show my French seam trims around the vents:

Aside from the custom look and attention to details, this treatment gives the vent area added support and gluing surface under the dash.

A note about the glove box door.

When Porsche made a leather covered dash and glove box door,
they started with the standard vinyl pieces and modified the parts wherever necessary.

For the glove box door, that refers mainly to the lock surround
where they cut out the foam to make room for a plastic piece that will cover the edges of the leather.

There is also a molded plastic piece inside to door, to cover the trailing edges of the leather.

If your car came with vinyl, the lock surround is molded vinyl over foam and you do not have these plastic trim pieces.

So, covering a standard vinyl glove box door with leather is not as simple as wrapping the part with a square of leather.
If you want to do it right, the door as to be modified and the plastic trim pieces have to be located and purchased.

I devised my own way of doing the lock surround to add a custom touch:
